[Zafrece- Slip Stream(WIP)]

This is a great sounding song :D My only critique on the detail is about the drums coming in around the 34 second mark; I think they should be in a separate layer and a little louder (like the drums get soon afterwards). Those drums starting around the 34 second mark seem like they are in the same layer or envelope as the rest of the song at that point. Good job! :D

Very astute sir. This was an unmixed and unmastered version. I do the mixing and eqing when the song is finished generally. So your assessment of the song is spot on. When the songs are finished i add lower compression slightly. Side chain hertz from 180 down ( depending on song and drum choice ofc) Also the drums are not the loudest part on this version of the song. They are getting flooded down by the other tones in the same hertz range and fighting for volume control. That's all taken care of in the mixing and mastering part when i ever get around to finishing this thing up x-x/. The joys of school however have taken my time from me as of late.
Thanks for the feed and taking time to pick out exactly what was wrong with the song. I enjoy hearing what's wrong rather than whats right much more.

I think that a lot of the synth sounded really fun, but sometimes the bass didn't really work well with it. Up until 1:14 or so the drums didn't seem to work at all with the synth. I think that the drum beat that eventually came in worked better, but I think that the song sounds all over the place. You might want to listen to more music and try to study how they do their songs and how they format their songs (at least as kind of a starting point for how you might want to format your music).

I thought that beat was really good. At first I was trying to figure out where the beat was going but once the drums came in it seemed to fit. My biggest critique is that the MC's voice seems more like they are talking rather than MC-ing if that makes sense. Like MC-ing I think a lot of times is more like announcing stuff and using more of an announcing voice, which I think would have worked better with this beat. Also the song is only 1:50 long. I do think that the song overall does sound really good, but there are just some details that needed worked out.
