The song overall seems a bit repetitious, but the beat is still pretty cool. I would suggest taking out the kick drums that happen at the same time as the synth, and have the kick drum just less frequent. I'm having a bit of a hard time explaining that; listen to Hucci - House Party and how the kick drum doesn't happen with the syllables and it flows a lot better. The song needs more moments to help make less repetition. It's a really good start though.

i was going for something along the lines of dopeboy by butch clancy, like a really low slung march. more moments though, i like the sound of that

At first I was having an issue keeping track of the beat, and I think the intro needs some work. When the beat drops though that is pretty awesome and I think what you have works pretty well. The song is way too short, but sweet.

This is so chill. Awesome. :)

The intro is too long winded and repetitive. I would consider taking out the first 50 seconds entirely. The track overall is pretty repetitive too. I feel like this experimental tune could be the start of another track, but needs a lot of work as is.
The melody towards the end is pretty cool though and goes with the other layers of the track really well. I think having more melody in the song overall like that might be really cool, along with heavier drums.

Thanks for the feedback. I think this was meant to be a more atmospheric track, but i get what you mean by saying it needed to get to the point quicker. A lot of my songs tend to be overdrawn especially the intros. I might take another crack at what you suggest though and add more of the melody and concentrate on refining the hooks. Thanks again!

This is a good track. The overall feel of it is very nice. I think that the drums seem too basic if that makes sense, and I would suggest maybe playing around a bit with different drum sounds for this song. It needs better quality drums though. An idea that comes to mind is to maybe use percussion more often used in orchestras? I'm thinking more lighter feeling drums (you can still have kick drum and snare I'm just throwing ideas out there). The piano also seems to be a little harsh compared to the softness of the rest of it (minus the drums), so maybe play around with filters for the piano to make it sound as soft as the rest of the track. Overall this is a really good track and the overall atmosphere of it fit together very nicely. The rest of the instruments are great together. ^^

This is a pretty good track. I completely agree with the other comment that if this is supposed to be a chill, ambient track then at least the drums should be taken down a notch. The overall feel is nice.

This has some really cool effects! I really get a sense of a nice storyline going with this that's so neat. The beginning I think needs a very little bit of work with the melody. I think that the beat itself that starts around 2:00 is nifty but the sound effects I don't think work with it too well until that 2:30 mark. It starts to get repetitive later on in the track too. Overall I can tell a lot of effort went into this and it's a really unique track.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate.
Yes, it was alot of work (but fun work) especially gathering the in-game voices samples and cleaning them, which i'm not a specialist of.
Glitching the scientist's voice was especially fun :)
I'll pay more attention when integrating sound effects in the future.

The piano in the beginning is very repetitive, but I think it gets a little better when the piano is finally switched up. The flow of this isn't too good either. I would suggest maybe trying to turn bits and pieces of this into a kind of relaxing bit. I could kind of see this as the start of a background track for some kind of game, but it needs a lot of work. Keep at it!

MockOff responds:

Really, one star? I usually don't complain about reviews but that seems a bit outlandish. Can't trust everyone I suppose

The instrumental seems a bit all over the place, but maybe once the lyrics are added it'll be better. You might want to get a brighter sounding instrument for the lead synth of the beat switch up at the 1:27 mark. Try to add some additional sounds and details throughout to make it sound fuller overall. I'd suggest playing around with more quality instruments too if you have access to FL Studio. Overall this instrumental is going in a good direction but I feel that it needs more work.

SoulSecure responds:

All of your suggestions are things one would only do if they weren't going to add vocals. :\

I'm using FL9.

What in the fuck are you talking about making the lead brighter? I have no idea which instrument you are referring to since there isn't much of a lead melody at that point.

In any case, the instrumental is finished. Just need to add the vocals.

This is a really good track! I think that the voice seems a little bit out of place just because it sounds a little less smooth compared to the rest of the track. I could totally see this song in an RPG though. What did you make this in?

CeeeX responds:

Thanks for the great feedback.

I used different kinds plugins, but I it's been a while since I made this music track so I forgot some of the names.

The strings are from East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra ^^
